AISD Back to School Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year

Parent Square logo

NEW: Amarillo ISD and our schools now use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with Skyward to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified. Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, parents can now do the following:

  • Choose to receive information as it comes...or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m.
  • Communicate in your preferred language: ParentSquare auto-translates the messages between users
  • Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
  • DIRECT MESSAGING with teachers, staff and other parents
  • Participate in group messages from schools and teachers

Returning Students & New to AISD Students

During the registration process, you will provide AISD with “proof of residency” which can be a recent utility bill, satellite or cable bill, or a rent/lease/mortgage statement.

  • You can upload a document using our Student Proof of Residency form (Opens in new window), or bring the document to your student’s home campus and deliver it in person.

  • We prefer that you upload the document, but if you choose to deliver it in person, please contact the school to ensure a staff member at the school will be available to assist you.

Returning Students
Registration for the 2023-2024 school year, for returning AISD students, begins MONDAY, JULY 17, 2023. Returning students will use Skyward Family Access (Opens in new window) for the process of school registration. PLEASE NOTE: Do NOT use the Skyward app on mobile devices. You must use a desktop or laptop computer to access and use Skyward Family Access for registration.

Our Skyward page has the Skyward Family Access login portal link and also contains links that can help families with instructions for registering a student for classes online, which can be achieved in Skyward Family Access, and a “How to” guide for using Skyward Family Access.

  • If you do not have your Skyward Access login, please contact your home campus for login information. They will verify you and your student’s identity to reset your access.
  • If you have moved over the summer and will be attending a new school, please complete the following Student Proof of Residency Form: https://forms.amaisd.org/Forms/SRPOR (Opens in new window). This will notify the new home campus of your new address. Once verified, the new home campus will contact your old school to move your Skyward registration to your new school.
